I am currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting and finance at the University of Melbourne.
Experience
My academic experience is focused primarily on the field of mathematics and it is this subject that I am most interested in tutoring. I work with elementary, middle, and high school students who are struggling with their mathematics studies, including courses such as calculus, algebra, and accounting. I also tutor students who are learning Mandarin Chinese. Working with a student in a one-on-one learning environment gives me the opportunity to get to know the student better and customize sessions to align with their academic challenges and goals. In a group or classroom setting, it is not possible to personalize the material for each student. Individual instruction also means we can go over the material as slow or as fast as the student wants. Sometimes this might mean we spend several sessions on once concept while other times a concept may be understood in the first fifteen minutes of a lesson.
