Education
I have a bachelors degree in Sustainability Science, A CELTA qualification (Teaching English as an additional language to adults), and am currently studying a Masters of Teaching (specialising in Secondary Science and Humanities subjects).
Experience
I have experience teaching in a number of different contexts. English Language teaching: I have worked full time as an English language teacher with private organisations overseas. I taught one-on-one specialist classes and group classes for students aged 4 to 18 as well as adult and business classes. I am able to teach classes focusing on reading skills, writing skills and speaking skills, as well as IELTS and TOEFL preparation classes. Science Teaching: I have run science, environmental and marine studies classes for primary and secondary aged children in a professional setting. I am currently studying to become a qualified Science teacher - which involves practical experience as well as sound content knowledge. Tutoring: I have tutored privately on numerous occasions in Sydney, Newcastle and overseas. I am willing and able to create personal materials and resources to make the classes engaging and personal for the student.
