Experience

Teaching and history are and always have been my passions. I taught history at high schools across Australia for four years via Medieval Education, which I eventually had to drop to focus on my Masters. I have also been an instructor for the past five years at the Melbourne Sword and Spear Association (formerly known as the Melbourne Ancient Re-enactment Society). This has given my much experience on working with groups and with individuals of a very wide range of learning requirements.

Outside of history and military studies, I am fond of the steam punk, fantasy, and science fiction genres. I am involved in two roleplaying groups, and at least once a week I practice the violin. I am happy to take students from anywhere around Melbourne, so long as I can reach them via public transport. I do not drive so am reliant on trains and trams to get around.
